Vanuatu's well-situated in the south-west Pacific between Fiji and New Caledonia. Australia and New Zealand both only a few hours away. Including Direct flights to Espiritu Santo from Brisbane in only 2 and a half hours!

Port Vila Airport, just 10 minutes from the center of Port Vila is where most visitors arrive for the first time in Vanuatu. It acts as a domestic hub for Air Vanuatu and a range of charter airlines such as Air Caledonie, Air New Zealand, Air Niugini, Fiji Airways, Solomn Airlines and Vigin Australia. It is where most will come when travelling to Vanuatu. The international and domestic terminals, while separate, are next to each other, allowing easy transfers between flights.
For those flying into Port Vila first, there are daily domestic flight transfers to Espiritu Santo taking approximately 50 minutes.
Espiritu Santo is Air Vanuatu's northern hub, with flights onward to the Banks Islands, Pentecost, Maewo and Tanna.
There are local buses to take you around if you negotiate the rate before setting off for your adventure. Santo’s public transport is in the form of utes (small trucks) that load their trays and cabins with people and produce.
Taxis are available for private hire. Also there are many local drivers that you can hire for an hour or a full day
Car and Scooter hire is available in Luganville. You will need to be at least 21 years old and have held a license for over a year.
